Activity1.2: Interest Safari
Time to explore!
Go on an “interest adventure” with your child to discover what topics, settings, or characters naturally draw them in.
Strengthen curiosity and observation skills by helping your child notice what sparks their interest in the world around them.
For one week, go on an “Interest Safari” together. Invite your child to take pictures (or make quick sketches) of things that make them curious — anything that makes them say “Wow!” or “I wonder why…” This could be a bug on the sidewalk, a cool sign, a funny cloud, or even something they’re building or reading.
🌸 Reflection
“What made you stop and look at that?”
“What do you think is happening here?”
“Would you like to find out more about it?”
At the end of the week, scroll through the photos together and see if there are any patterns — maybe your child loves nature, machines, colours, or words. Curiosity patterns can guide book choices and spark new learning adventures.
